Insurance Claim Alternatives
Patients with any health insurance may request a formal invoice/receipt for each office visit or group of visits if they wish to file a claim on their own with their insurance company. Insurers may be more inclined to fully or partially reimburse the policyholder directly with less difficulty if the transaction takes place directly between the carrier and policyholder.
Check with your insurer’s Member Benefits customer service people to learn what paperwork requirements they have, if any, and we will provide them to you. We cannot provide a letter of medical necessity (please see “Important Information to Know For Private Insurance” under Patients tab, Insurance > Commercial Insurance). Payment for services must be made in full at time of service and cannot be postponed to await insurance reimbursement.
